Shoreham, Yvonne Audet, 72, died peacefully early Friday morning August 15, 2014 at the home of her daughter in Bridport. Born January 24, 1942 in Casselman, Ontario Canada, she was the daughter of the late Auguste and Helene (Quesnel) Lamoureux. The family moved to Vermont and Yvonne was a graduate of Brandon High School. She married Marcel Audet on September 21, 1963 Yvonne was a clerk and seamstress for Ben Franklin and Geiger Corp. She also operated her own Gift Shop. She was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church, Middlebury and enjoyed playing solitaire and other cards games with her grandchildren; she was an avid reader and also enjoyed gardening and doing puzzles. Near the end of her life she also loved playing candy crush on her kindle. Yvonne was predeceased by her husband, Marcel Audet, sister Marie Kuhn of Florida, brother Real Lamoureux of Whiting . She is survived by her daughter Yvette Whittemore and her Husband George, 2 grandchildren, Travus Whittemore, Tosha Pope and a great grandchild Ella Pope. Also by her Siblings Aime Lamoureux of Brooksville Fl, Wilfred Lamoureux of Shoreham Vt, Edgar Lamoureux of Cornwall Vt, Roger Lamoureux of Buffalo Ny, Denise Gibeault her twin sister of Shoreham Vt, Raymond Lamoureux of Brandon Vt, Ramonde Short of Boston Ma, Robert Lamoureux of Shoreham Vt, Leo Lamoureux of Whiting, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Yvonne always traveled south to Florida in the winters and stayed in Vermont for the summer. She wanted to say a special thank you to her brother Aime and twin sister Denise for them looking over her since her husbands passing. She had many loved ones always willing to lend her an extra hand. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday August 19, 2014 at 11 AM at St. Marys Catholic Church, with the Rev. William Beaudin as the celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery. There will be no visiting hours.
