William D. (Bill) Nass, 57, passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2017 at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington. Bill leaves his mother, Joyce Nass of Southbridge, MA; a daughter, Sara Nass and her husband, Curtis Lee of Morgantown, WV; a son, Andrew Nass of Sturbridge, MA; his significant other, Teresa Whittemore of Middlebury; a sister, Margaret Whitney and her husband, Richard of Southbridge, MA; and his niece and nephew. He was predeceased by his father. Bill was born March 31, 1960 in Southbridge, MA, the son of Donald and Joyce (Bailey) Nass. He was a graduate of Southbridge High School and earned his Culinary Arts degree from The Culinary Institute of America. He was a culinary director, most recently employed at The Residence at Otter Creek. Bill was known for his keen sense of humor and wit. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed golfing, the ocean, playing with his two German Shepherds, and most importantly spending time with his family. Funeral service will be held on Friday June 23, 2017 at 1 P.M. at the Sanderson-Ducharme Funeral Home, located at 117 South Main Street, Middlebury. The Rev. Brett Cody will officiate. The family with receive friends and family from noon until the time of the service at 1 P.M.
