BRIDPORT- Timothy James MacLachlan, 18, died Saturday, August 1, 2009 at Porter Hospital following a motor vehicle accident that day.
Born in Middlebury December 15, 1990, he was born the son of Robert D. Jr. and Buffy L. (Barry) MacLachlan.
Tim was a graduate of Middlebury Union High School, class of 2009. He served in the United States Marine Corps following graduation.
He was in the Middlebury Police Explorers and while a student at Middlebury Union, he played on the football team, wrestling and chorus. He enjoyed four wheeling, camping, fishing and being with and participating in family activities.
Surviving family members include his father, Robert D. MacLachlan, Jr. of Summerville, SC; his mother, Buffy L. (Barry) Jordan of Ellsworth, ME; his uncle and aunt with whom he resided, Doug and Chantel MacLachlan of Bridport; two brothers, Steven MacLachlan of Perkinsville and Josh MacLachlan of Summerville, SC; two sisters, Deanna MacLachlan of Middlebury and Katlyn MacLachlan of Summerville, S.C.; his maternal grandfather, Charles Barry of Shoreham; his paternal grandparents Robert and Beverley MacLachlan Sr. of Perkinsville; his paternal great-grandmother Elinor MacLachlan of Bassett, VA, several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 AM Thursday, August 6, 2009 at Middlebury Union High School Auditorium with Rev. Jill Robinson, Pastor, Middlebury Methodist Church, officiating.
There will be no calling hours.
