CORNWALL Thomas E. Barrows, 61, passed away unexpectedly at his home on November 27, 2011. He was born in Middlebury the son of Robert Barrows and Virginia (Lackard) Fisher. He attended Vergennes High School before serving in the military during the Vietnam War. Thomas enjoyed woodworking and was proud of being a Master Carpenter. Among his interests he enjoyed metal detecting, boxing and helping others by lending a hand whenever he could. He is survived by his wife, Susanne (Lessor) Barrows of Cornwall, by his father of Vergennes, his mother of Middlebury, his son Nathan Barrows, daughters Angela Barrows, Lori Barrows, step daughters Nicole Bougor and Mae Farley, his sisters Lynn Bourgeois, Susanne Button and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother Robert Skip Barrows. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2011 at 11 AM at the Sanderson-Ducharme Funeral Home located at 117 South Main St., Middlebury. The Rev. Gary Lewis will officiate. Friends and family may call from 10 AM until the time of service at 11 AM.
