THEODORE J. KRAMPITZ
WILLISTON Theodore J. Krampitz 90, died Sunday, November 28, 2010 at Birchwood Terrace Healthcare in Burlington.
He was born on May 19, 1920 in Vergennes, the son of James E. and Matilda (Nichols) Krampitz.
He served in WWII attached to the 489th Bombardment Squadron Division of the U.S. Air Force. He had worked at the Addison Independent as an advertising manager.
He was a member of the American Legion, Post 14 of Vergennes, V.F.W. Post 6689, of Essex. Theodore was a former member of the Elks club in Rutland and also Union Lodge #2 F & A.M. of Middlebury. Among his many enjoyments, he and his wife enjoyed attending reunions of his Bombardment Squadron. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed going and watch local school sports in the Middlebury area. He enjoyed horseshoes and assembling model cars airplanes and boats.
He is survived by his wife, Helen (Murdock) Krampitz and sons James Krampitz of Center Harbor, NH, Ronald Krampitz of Bristol and Robert Krampitz and his wife Lori of Monkton, three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his brother, Fred Krampitz and his sister, Anna Krampitz.
A calling hour will be Saturday, December 4, 2010 from 10:00-11:00 AM at Sanderson-Ducharme Funeral Home, 117 South Main Street, Middlebury.
The funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow at Middlebury Cemetery.
