Salisbury, VT Mrs. Thea A. Desabrais Mrs. Thea A. Desabrais, 78, died Tuesday evening January 16, 2007 at Fletcher Allen Health Care. She was born in Kranichfeldt, Germany on February 27, 1928 the daughter of the late Franz & Klara (Schliffel) Schmidt. She married her husband Lucien Desabrais on September 1, 1954 in Munich, Germany. After which they moved to Salisbury, VT. Where the couple, together with their children, owned & operated Desabrais Laundry & Cleaners in Middlebury. Thea was a life time member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 27 in Middlebury She was a loving mother and grandmother to her children and she loved to tell it like it was. She is survived by her husband, Lucien Desabrais and their, 4 daughters, Marion Desabrais and partner Sandy Kemp, Lucie Noble and her husband Steven, Rebecca Raymond and her husband Randall, Lisa Bagley and special friend May Morse, all of Addison County. Her 9 grandchildren, Michael and April, Shane and Tonya, Ashley, Erika and Dennis, and Laura and Heather, her 4 great-grandchildren, and her sisters Hella Schultz and Margit Stephen. A memorial service will be held on Friday January 26, 2007 at St. Marys Catholic Church, At 11 AM, the Rev. Justin Baker will officiate. A reception will follow the service at the American Legion in Middlebury. Thea was pre deceased by her daughter Bettina Ruth and son Lucien R.
