Obituary

Ted Panicucci went home to be with the Lord on May 22, 2015 at the age of 86, with his wife, Jean, at his side. Ted was born on August 15, 1928 in Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania. He spent much of his life living in New Jersey before moving to Vermont in 1972. Ted served in the U. S. Army under General MacArthur in 1947 and 1948 stationed in occupied Japan. At seventeen Ted started working for the A&P Tea Company as a stocker. It was quickly recognized that he excelled in accounting and, upon his return from the military, was quickly moved into a position of auditor and then graduated to district purchaser. Ted became the Director of the Green Pond Nursing and Convalescent Home in Green Pond, New Jersey in 1963 and remained there until moving his family to beautiful Middlebury, Vermont. In addition to running his business, The Village Store Antiques, Ted was a deacon of the Memorial Baptist Church for ten years, an occasional guest speaker, and a constant supporter of the church and its activities. He was an avid supporter of his children and grandchildren in athletics, theater, music, and their careers, always available with cogent advice. Above all, Ted was a loving husband and is survived by his dear wife Jean Panicucci. He is also survived by his children Steve, Nancy and partner Alan, Ted and spouse Pam, Jane and spouse Barbara, and his grandchildren Tania and Eric. A memorial service will be held at the Memorial Baptist Church in Middlebury, Vermont on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Teds name to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinsons Research.
