STUART FORBES MIDDLEBURY, VT- Stuart C. Forbes, 73, of Quarry Rd., died Tuesday, September 5, 2006 at Helen Porter Health and Rehabilitation Center after a long illness with his family at his side. Born in Middlebury June 13, 1933 he was the son of the late Harold G. and Vena G. (Brown) Forbes. He was a lifelong resident of Middlebury and was a retired logger and construction worker, having been employed for many years in his fathers logging business. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1953-1955. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Family members include his wife, Patricia (Fassett) Forbes whom he married December 1, 1962; two sons, Gary S. Forbes of Middlebury and Michael D. Forbes and his wife Kim of Bristol; four brothers, Gayle Forbes of New Haven, Bruce Forbes, Jeff Forbes and Winston Forbes all of Middlebury; six grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mr. Forbes was predeceased by a brother Darrell Forbes. Calling hours are Friday, September 8, 2006 from 6-8 PM at Sanderson Funeral Service, 117 South Main St., Middlebury.
