Sandra G. Warren, 75, died Monday, February 18, 2013 at Helen Porter Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Middlebury.
Born August 10, 1937 in Troy, NY, she was the daughter of the late Thomas J. and Edna G. (Watson) Bell.
Sandra was a graduate of Mount Kisco High School, Mount Kisco, NY, class of 1955 and Plattsburgh University, class of 1959 where she received her BSN.
Sandra practiced nursing for over 20 years at Helen Porter Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Middlebury, retiring in 1997. Always considering the needs of others before herself, she was a very giving and generous person. She welcomed all her childrens friends and step grandchildren and made them feel as they were her own.
She married Richard E. Warren in Troy NY and they moved to Bridport, VT in 1965. She was a resident of Bridport for over 40 years. She loved living on Lake Champlain and enjoyed fishing and watching her kids play on the lake. She also enjoyed bird watching, gardening, Nascar racing, animals and the companionship and motivation of her grandchildren.
Family members include two sons, Richard E. Warren, Jr. and his companion Alisa of Long Island, NY and Andrew Eric Warren and his wife Michele of Bridport; one daughter, Deborah G. Laframboise and her husband Leon of Addison; one brother, Thomas Bell II of Port Orange, FL; one sister, Nancy Bell of Orlando, FL eight grandchildren, Andrea Warren, Nathan Warren, Samuel Warren, Amanda Laframboise, Caryn Drake, Christopher C.J. OSullivan , Richard OSullivan, and Kathryn OSullivan; and two great grandchildren, Olivia and Ilsa Drake.
Sandra was predeceased by her husband, Richard E. Warren who died February 9, 1991, by a grandson, Nicholas A. Warren, and by a brother Kenneth Bell.
A memorial service will be conducted at 1 PM Saturday, February 23, 2013 at the Bridport Congregational Church with Rev. Tim Franklin, pastor officiating.
There will be no calling hours.
