Ruthanne Costello, 46, passed away peacefully on Monday November 14, 2011 after a long courageous battle with cancer.
She was born in Carnegie, PA on April 1, 1965, and then moved to Wayne, NJ at age 9 and stayed there until graduation from high school. She then moved to Vermont with her family to help operate the family business, Rosemaries Restaurant and the Bristol Commons Inn.
After departing from the Inn she became a cosmetologist and owned Delilahs Hair Salon in Brandon prior to her illness. Ruthie enjoyed riding her motorcycle with her husband and many friends and she was an avid fan of blues music. She was also a member of American Legion Post 27 Ladies Auxiliary in Middlebury, VT.
Ruthie will always be remembered for her contagious laughter and incredible strength.
She is survived by her husband Jeffrey, son David Ciulla, stepson Dennis Costello and the apple of her eye daughter Jillian Costello. Also surviving her is sister Susan Hiles, Pittsburgh, PA ; sister, Janice Stanford and husband Steve Hamburg, NJ, and brother Kevin Hiles, West Palm Beach, FL. She was predeceased by her parents Robert and Rosemarie (Yaccino) Hiles.
Visitation will be held at the Sanderson Funeral Home, Middlebury, VT on Sunday, November 20th from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday November 21st at
St. Marys Cemetery in Middlebury, with reception following at the Town Hall Theater in Middlebury.
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be sent to The Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation in memory of Ruthanne Costello.
