Roger Pidgeon, Sr. passed away at home on August 18, 2023. He was born at home in Middlebury September 5, 1941 to Louis and Helena (Maheau) Pidgeon. His parents predeceased him as did 3 siblings: Robert, Richard and Sylvia (Pat) Southwick. His brother Ronnie survives Roger, as does his wife of 54 years, Susan (Woods) Pidgeon and their 3 children: Roger Jr, Charles, and Julia Austin, 10 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren. Roger was anxiously awaiting his great grandson Tyler James Austin. Roger worked as a carpenter for many years. His hobbies were listening to country music and watching NASCAR racing. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Cornwall, VT on Saturday, September 9th, at 11 AM, with a celebration of his life following at the Victory Baptist Fellowship Hall on Woodman Hill in Vergennes. There will be no other services per his request. Donations to Camp Sonlight/Victory Baptist Church, Home Health Hospice of Addison County, or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
