BURLINGTON - Robert James Newton, 44, died unexpectedly from natural causes Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2007 at his home.
He was born August 16, 1963 in Sumter, SC. the son of Richard A. Newton of Caryville, TN and Shirley English Douglas of Moriah, NY.
He was a 1981 graduate of Middlebury Union High School. Robert was an avid outdoorsman, loved fishing, hiking and animals.
He is survived by his mother & step-father, David, his father and step-mother Jeannette, his sisters; Sherry & her husband Michael Paquette, of Cornwall, Theresa and John Flood of Red Springs, N.C. Nephews Dan, Brian & Tyler Paquette, Levi and his wife Alicia and Caleb Flood, by his Step-brothers; Pat Douglas of Leicester, and Chris Douglas of Rutland & several cousins.
He was predeceased by a step-brother Jeff Abbey and his loving dog Maggie.
Memorial services will be held on Sunday November 18, 2007 at 11:00 am
At Sanderson Funeral Service 117 South St. Middlebury, VT, With the Rev. John Flood, of Red Springs, NC officiating.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday November 18, 2007 from 10:00 AM till the time of the service at 11 AM.
