Robert J. LaFountain WEYBRIDGE- Robert Joseph LaFountain, 70 died peacefully in his home on August 18, 2007. He was born December 21, 1936, son of Raymond J. and Aline (LaFramboise) LaFountain. Robert was a student at St. Marys School in Middlebury. He later joined the Army National Guard. On November 3, 1956 he married Patricia A. (Fitzgerald) and they together had four children. Robert was a dairy farmer and a devoted husband, father, grand-father, brother, and son. He will also be remembered as a friend to many. He was often the first one there to give a helping hand when one was needed. He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia A.LaFountain, his mother, Aline LaFountain, his children and their spouses: daughter Susan M. Anderson and Timothy B. Anderson of Bridport, son, Michael J. LaFountain and Sharon OBrien of Weybridge, son John E. LaFountain and Becky Shepard of Bridport, and daughter Diana L. Rule and William Dennis Rule of Vergennes. He also is survived by two sisters and their husbands and a sister in law: Louise Muzaca and Jim Muzaca of Tifferton, RI, Jeannette Cyr and Robert Cyr of Bridport, and Madelyn LaFountain of Bridport. He also leaves 20 grand children, 24 great grand children, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was pre-deceased by his father Raymond J. LaFountain, and his brother Wilfred J. LaFountain. The LaFountain family invites you to join them in celebrating Roberts life on Tuesday, August 21st with calling hours from 5 7 pm. at Sandersons Funeral Home. The funeral will be at St. Marys Catholic Church in Middlebury at 11:00 am.
