Florence, VT Mr. Richard D. Schaner Richard D. Schaner, 51, died Friday evening June 20, 2008 at his home with his wife by his side. Born July 30, 1956 in Hartford, CT. He may have been born in CT but he lived and loved Vermont. Rick was an exceptional outdoorsman and an outstanding Hunter and fisherman. He was always ready to lend a helping hand or two to whom every needed it. Rick was a master plumber & pipe fitter working for the Local Union 693 working in NH, NJ, Mass, Canada and Vermont, He took great pride in his work. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Robin (Johnson) Schaner , of Florence, his daughter, Jen Schaner, of Texas, his sons, Nathan & Kyle, of Florence, his adopted dad, Jim and his in-laws Robert and Sandy Johnson and Lois McCullough By his brother Chris Schaner & family, and also by several nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his Father Louis Schaner and a brother Brian. Per Ricks wishes he will be cremated and there will be no services.
