Rhoda Jean Dragon, 64 of East Middlebury, died peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, November 11, 2016 after a long illness. She was born in Middlebury on December 14, 1951 to Ralph "Mike" and Margaret (Masterson) Dragon. Rhoda was a member of the East Middlebury Methodist Church. Her greatest joy in life was her family, especially her children. She loved working in her numerous flower gardens surrounding her home, decorating inside and out for every holiday and feeding the birds. She also enjoyed home cooked meals, baking, always making enough for everyone there to take some home. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She did more for her family than we could ever ask for. Rhoda is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Barry Dragon and her two sons: Tim and Dan, daughter-in-law Danielle, brother-in-law Leon and granddaughters Abigail and Emma. Also by her brothers Ralph (Lynn), Danny, Randy (Mary), and sister Tammy (Mark) and many nieces and nephews to whom she loved dearly. She was predeceased by a sister, Rhonda. Memorial Services will be held on Friday, November 18, 2016 at 10AM at the East Middlebury United Methodist Church officiated by Pastor Bob Bushman. A reception for family and friends will be held at Rhodas home in East Middlebury following the service.
