Pauline Sena (Outzen) Petersen Middlebury, Vermont June 17, 1916April 1, 2008 Pauline Sena (Outzen) Petersen, 91, passed away on April 1, 2008 in Middlebury, Vermont, where she had lived for the last three and a half years. She was born on June 17, 1916, in Clinton, Iowa to Christian and Gesene (Peters) Outzen. She attended Clinton schools. On August 1, 1932, she married Leo A. Petersen of Clinton where they made their home until 1963 when they moved to Arizona. Her husband preceded her in death on June 4, 1991. She moved from Wickenburg, Arizona to Lawrence, Kansas in 1994, to Massachusetts in 2002, and to Vermont in 2004. Besides her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by three sisters: Wilhemena Hass, Gertrude Hermann, and Anna Zirbes, and five brothers: Henry, Christian, George, Lloyd, Harold, and her twin brother, Paul, who died in December 1923. She is survived by two daughters, Dolorus (Thomas) McKenna of Sheldon, Iowa, and Donna Koepp of Middlebury, Vermont, four grandchildren: Lee Broadrick and companion Roberta, of Wickenburg, Lynn Broadrick and Lory (Barry) Rickertson of Clinton, and Jon (Melissa) McKenna of Sioux City, Iowa, seven great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. There will be a memorial service at Snell-Zorning Funeral Home followed by burial at Springdale Cemetery. The date for the memorial is pending.
