Patricia A. Payne Wright, 80, passed away at her home on October 27, 2016 after a long illness. She was born August 13, 1936, daughter of Stanton & Marion Payne. She was a stay at home mom for many years until her children were older. She worked several jobs at Douglas Orchards, Secretary to Superintendant of Addison County Schools, Rother Photography, was Farmerette on the family farm & the Shoreham Co-Op, where she retired from. She was also a former member of the Order of Eastern Star, was the Treasurer of Bridport Senior Citizens up until recently and at one time was Secretary of Champlain Valley Fiddlers Club. Her hobbies included feeding & watching the birds nesting on the Homestead, feeding her hummingbirds and took pride in her flower gardens. Surviving is her husband H. Kent Wright III who she married September 27, 1953, daughters Suzi Findley & husband Ron, Cindy Myrick & husband Steve, son Jerry Wright & wife Yvette. Also surviving are grandchildren Kelley Wright, H. Kent Wright V, Billy Wright, Jason Barringer, Atlee Thurston, Tim Wright, Michaela Bushy, Steve Myrick Jr. , Cybil Myrick, Silas Myrick, Marla Wright & Cale Wright, 16 Great grandchildren a nephew, Kevin White whom they welcomed into their home and raised as their own, and her brothers Bob Payne & Keith Payne. Preceding her in death was her son, H. Kent Wright IV, sister Linda White and her parents. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at the Bridport Congregational Church starting at 1pm. Funeral service will start at 2pm, with Rev. Stephen Payne officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Bridport Central Cemetery.
