Obituary

Patricia A. Bergevin, 74, passed away from breast cancer on Saturday evening, November 23, 2013 surrounded by family. She was born March 17, 1939 in Branford, CT., to Anna and Joseph Nailor. Pat married Victor Bergevin on October 14, 1961. Pat and Vic owned a dairy farm they operated until 1987. Patty worked as a secretary at Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. in Boston, MA. and then Bruskin Associates in New Brunswick, NJ. prior to marrying Vic. The following years were spent raising five children and working the farm. After retiring from farming, Patty went to work at the Otter Creek Natural Resources Conservation District, as District Clerk, from 1987 to 2004. Pat and Vic enjoyed retirement with their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Nana loved to be surrounded by her family, playing cards, camping and vacationing together. Patricia is survived by her husband of 52 years, Victor J. Bergevin; their sons John Bergevin and wife Andrea of Whiting, VT, Jacque Bergevin and wife Jennifer of Middlebury, VT; their daughters Jean Stone and husband Mark of East Middlebury, VT, Jane Aube and husband Eugene of New Haven, VT and Jacqueline Doty and husband Paul of Brandon, VT. ; sixteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren, by her brother, Gordon Nailor and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by twin sons, Louis and Joseph Bergevin. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday evening November 26, 2013 from 4 P.M. until 7 P.M, at the Sanderson-Ducharme Funeral Home, 117 South Main Street, Middlebury, VT. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday November 27, 2013 at 10A.M. at St. Marys Catholic Church in Middlebury the Rev. William Beaudin as the celebrant. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery.
