Wallingford, CT Mrs. Norma C. Drake Mrs. Norma C. Drake 87, died Saturday evening September 23, 2006 at the Masonic Health Care Center, in Wallingford, CT She was born December 20, 1918 in Bridgeport, Ct the daughter of the late Winfred & Grace (Danow) Crowther. She lived in Fairfield, CT for many years and worked as a bookkeeper for various news papers. She then moved to Middlebury Vermont where she resided until 2004 when she moved to the Masonic Health Care Center. Norma loved to travel and was an avid reader; evening after going blind she was able to still keep up with her reading with the help of the book reading machine. She is survived by her son, John A. Drake Jr., of Benson, VT, her daughter, Janice Basil, of Old Saybrook, CT, also by her six grandchildren and her ten great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held on Friday, September 29.2006 at 11 AM at Weybridge Cemetery, in Weybridge, VT.
