Obituary

NEW HAVEN- Nicholas P. Liberio, 60, passed away, Monday, July 25, 2011. Born June 23, 1951 in Newark, NJ, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Anna (DElia) Liberio. Nicholas was a graduate of Cranford High School, Cranford, NJ, class of 1969 and Lincoln Technical Institute. He was the owner of Liberty Construction and was the builder of over twenty quality homes in Addison County. His life was dedicated to and lived for his daughter, Melissa and her well being. Nicholas was a sportsman and loyal Yankees fan. He was known for his gift of hospitality and his creative culinary cooking skills. He enjoyed gardening, collecting antique tools and classic cars as well as coins, knives and arrowheads. Nicholas enjoyed daily walks along the New Haven River usually accompanied by his Rottweiler companion, Onyxx. Surviving family members include his daughter, Melissa L. Liberio of New Haven; Melissas mother Audrey Cousino of New Hartford, NY; four sisters, Rina Lesnick of Fairfield, NJ, Mary Ann Castellanos of Cliffside, NJ, Diana Saumsiegle of Flemington, NJ and Sallie Liberio of Boonton, NJ.; two nieces and two nephews. He was predeceased by his parents. The family will receive friends from 3-5 PM Friday, July 29, 2011 at the Sanderson-Ducharme Funeral Home, 117 S. Main St., Middlebury. A memorial service will be conducted at 5 PM in the funeral home with the Rev. William R. Beaudin, pastor, St. Marys Church, Middlebury, officiating.
