Rutland Nancy June Baumgartner
Nancy June Baumgartner, 86, formerly of Middlebury, died Sunday evening October 8, 2023 at The Pines in Rutland after a brief illness surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 27, 1937 in Middlebury the daughter of Edward and Helen (Faivre) Grant.
Nancy attended local schools. She had been employed as a Residential Instructor at Addison County Counseling Service.
She enjoyed listening to music, traveling and spending time with her family. Nancy was well known as the tiny, feisty lady with the big smile.
She is survived by her children John LeCompte (June), Cynthia Webb (Richard) and Kylie Scheck (Robbie). By her five grandchildren, her three great-grandchildren with the fourth on the way. By her sisters, Marie Nazworthy and Marjorie Webb.
Nancy was predeceased by her husband Charles Baumgartner, by her son James LeCompte, by her siblings, Patricia Chamberlain, Raymond, John and Edward Grant. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday October 21, 2023 from 1- 4 P.M. at the Sarah Partridge Community House in East Middlebury.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Activities fund at The Pines in Rutland at 99 Allen Street, Rutland, VT. 05701.
