IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Minda J.
Brown
March 8, 1964 – August 5, 2024
Minda Jean LaFountain-Brown, 60, left this earth to join her Mom and Dad on August 5, 2024 at UVM Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.
Minda was born on March 8, 1964 to Madelyn and Wilfred (Willy) LaFountain of Bridport, VT. She graduated from Middlebury Union High School in 1982.
Minda spent most of her time helping everyone she could. That was her passion in life. Minda could often be found with her sunglasses on, listening to her loud rock and roll music and joking around. She enjoyed creating her own nicknames for everyone. She wouldn't have been Minda without her teasing and wonderful sense of humor. She had an incredibly kind and giving heart of gold that will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Despite her health challenges, she never let anyone know of her struggles.
Minda spent 28 years working at Misty Knoll Farm where she developed many great friendships, which became family.
She is predeceased by her parents, her nephew Joshua LaFountain., and grandson Gabriel LaFountain.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Travis and Samantha LaFountain, and her grandchildren Jude/Jocelyn, John, Aiden (who she called her little buddy. Aiden was his Grandma's shadow and was with her as often as possible. They had a very special relationship), and twins Vance and Vincent. Minda's grandchildren were her whole world and she talked about them all the time. They were her top priority.
She is also survived by her siblings, Linda LaFountain of Vergennes, VT, Wilfred LaFountain, Jr. (Boomer) of Middlebury, VT, Brenda Sampson of Middlebury, VT, and Andrea LaFountain of Bridport, VT, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Up until her passing Minda also continued to have a good relationship with her former husband, Wayne Brown. She loved her stepsons, Matthew and Timmy Brown, like her own children, and was very proud of her newest grandbaby, Timmy's baby daughter Abilene. Her step niece Deanna Hillaire also held a very special place in Minda's heart.
The funeral service will be held at Sanderson Funeral Home, 117 S Main Street, Middlebury, VT on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 10:00am. Flowers can be sent to Sanderson Funeral Home.
