Obituary

Mrs. Mildred L. (Smith) Morse-Stock well 92, of Middlebury VT passed away peacefully Friday August 6, 2010 at her home surrounded by family. Mildred was born in Westfield, MA May 28, 1918 the daughter of Louis F. and Johanna Smith. She received her education in Westfield. She married Leslie James Morse in Westfield October 3 1936. They ran a restaurant in Westfield called The Dandy Lunch. He predeceased her on August 13 1962. She then married Charles Wallace Stockwell in February 1963. They ran Millies Kitchen from 1968 until 1973. Mr. Stockwell predeceased her on August 23, 1986. She was a member of the grange for 62 years. Mildred is survived by 4 sons, Louis and Gail of Dowling Park FL., Wayne and Lynne of Huntington MA., James and Adeline (Dolly) of Middlebury and Oren R. of Jacksonville FL., one stepson Wallace and Sylvian Stockwell and one stepdaughter, Mrs. Barbara and Gary Rooke and one sister Mrs. Dorothy Mable Hills, 13 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 9 great- great grandchildren. She was predeceased by 3 brothers. Fredrick L. Smith, Louis F. Smith, Oren P. Smith, 3 sisters, Mrs. Gladys V. Paulson, Mrs. Mae L. Welliver and Mrs. Ann E. Gately- Skrozalki and one grandson, Darren Morse. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday August 8, 2010 at 3 P.M. at the Sanderson-Ducharme Funeral Home located at 117 South Main Street Middlebury. The Rev. Jill Robinson pastor at the Middlebury United Methodist Church will officiate. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday August 8, 2010 from 1P.M. to until the time of the service at 3 P.M. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Addison County Home Health and Hospice at P.O. Box 754, Middlebury, VT 05753.
