Obituary

MIDDLEBURY Mary G. Morse Mary G. Morse, 88 passed away on Friday, June 7, 2013 at Helen Porter Health & Rehab Center in Middlebury. She was born on April 23, 1925 in St. Johns, New Foundland, Canada, the only daughter of the late Roland and Louisa (Corcoran) Lacey. Mary came to the United States in 1946 from New Foundland, Canada and moving to Middlebury in 1952. In the 1960s Mary became a Naturalized Citizen. Mary was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church. She enjoyed knitting booties for over 55 years. She was employed for many years as a Seamstress at Van Raalte Factory in Middlebury and also sold Avon from 1960 to 1980 she also worked at Noyes florist and for 14 summers at the Morgan Horse Farm in Weybridge. Survivors are her only daughter Mary Lou Humphries, of Middlebury, by her close friend and almost like a daughter Betty Lou Gorton, of Cornwall, by her grandchildren, Chad Humphries, of Maryland and Rene Schepers, of Edgewood, MD., by her great grandchildren, Samantha, Sabrina and James Schepers all of Maryland, by her great-great granddaughters, Vanna and Layla Schepers, by her sister-in-law Gertrude Lacey and by her nieces, Linda Hoyt and her husband Craig, of Colchester, Laura Napoletano and her husband Dr. Robert, of CT and Patricia Lacey and her companion Sandy Bongard, of Canada, by her nephews, Leo Lacey and his wife Cheryl, of Topsham, ME and Larry Lacey, of Middlebury and Bill Lacey and his wife Lynn, of MA., also by numerous great nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents and her six brothers, William, Laurence, Ronald, Cyril, Kevin and Leo Lacey. Visiting hours will be Monday, June 10 from 4 7 pm at Sanderson-Ducharme Funeral Home, 117 So. Main St., Middlebury. A mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Marys Catholic Church, Tuesday June 11, 2013 at 11AM. The Rev. William Beaudin as celebrant. Burial to follow at St. Marys Cemetery.
