Ticonderoga, NY Mary Jane Mc Caughin 82, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2008 at Helen Porter Healthcare in Middlebury, VT. She was born to Ward and Jennie Mae (Short) Barlow on August 16th, 1925 in Fulton, NY. She was an only child. Mary Jane graduated from SUNY Morrisville. She worked as a hospital dietician in Des Moines, IA, at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, MD and Moses Ludington Hospital in Ticonderoga, NY. Mary Jane married Helke A. McCaughin on August 1, 1954, they had 5 children, Deborah, Helke, Stephanie, Sally and Daphanie. She was a Fifty year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, most recently the Fort Ticonderoga Chapter No. 263. Mary Jane is survived by her five children Deborah McCaughin and companion Herthon (Buck) Morgan Jr. of Tampa, FL, Helke McCaughin of Jacksonville, FL, Stephanie (Robert) Clark of Putnam Station, NY, Sally Archambeault of Jacksonville, FL, Daphanie McCaughin of Putnam Station, NY grandchildren: Melissa Archambeault of Jacksonville, FL, Toby Jordon of Minerva, NY and Telluride, CO, Seaman Ian Jordon bases in Norfolk, VA on the USS Hawes., Adriana Clark of Putnam Station, NY and a great granddaughter, Alivia Campbell of Moore, OK. She was predeceased by her parents, husband and her granddaughter, Holly Archambeault Campbell. At Mary Janes request there will be no services, and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Donations in Mary Janes memory may be made to : Ticonderoga Emergency Squad.
