NEW HAVEN- Mary A. Malzac, 99, of 3268 Munger St., died Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at Helen Porter Healthcare, Middlebury.
Born October 20, 1908 in New Haven, she was the daughter of the late Elmer V. and Addie G. (Grow) Bennett.
She was a lifelong resident of Munger St. and was a homemaker. She was a communicant of St. Mary Church, Middlebury.
Mary enjoyed life to its fullest. For many years her home on Munger St. was the gathering place for friends and family, especially on holidays. There was always room for one more person at the table. Mary was interested in what was happening in the lives of everyone in her family and extended family. She enjoyed playing cards, reading and especially being with people. She will be greatly missed.
Family members include her son Edward R. Malzac and his wife Yvonne of New Haven, six grandchildren, Linda Laribee of New York, Lorraine Wolff of Burlington, Paul Malzac of Monkton, Lynne Bigelow of New Haven, Teresa Poquette of Alburgh and Richard Malzac of Bristol; 14 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Raoul Malzac in 1969, by one son, George Malzac, three daughters, Irene Wyman, Ernestine Ray, and Helen Sellers; a brother, Harold Bennett and a sister, Clara Boucher.
The family will receive friends Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Sanderson Funeral Home, 117 S. Main St., Middlebury. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 AM Saturday at St. Mary Church, Middlebury with Rev. Justin Baker, pastor, as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
