Middlebury- Marjorie Cornelia Patterson Marjorie Cornelia Patterson 92, died Saturday afternoon December 22, 2018 at Helen Porter Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Middlebury. She was born December 30, 1925 in Salisbury the daughter of Willard and Lucy (Ladd) Morse. Marjorie married Franklin Patterson December 24, 1943 in Cornwall. She attended local schools in Salisbury and work for Middlebury College in the custodial department retiring after 30 years of service. Marjorie was a member of the grange and the Russ Sholes Senior Center and the Vergennes Senior Center. She also volunteered at R.S.V.P. and at the information desk at Porter Hospital for twenty years. Survivors are her children, Willard "Skip" Patterson and wife Donna of Waltham, Robert Patterson and wife Louise of South Carolina, Patricia Shorkey of Waltham and Wanda McGraw and husband Ken of Bomoseen. Also by her seven grandchildren and her nine great-grandchildren. Marjorie was predeceased by her parents, by her husband Franklin Patterson who died May 16, 1981, by her brother Robert Morse and her sisters Doris Senecal and Flora Johnson and by her son-in-law Francis "Bud" Shorkey. Graveside services will be held in the spring in Evergreen Cemetery in Cornwall. Memorial contributions may be made to the Vergennes Area Rescue Squad at 106 Panton Road, Vergennes, VT 05491.
