Obituary

Passed away on Tuesday May 13th 2014 in Portland, Oregon. Daughter of Conrad Hillier & Reta Hicks Hillier, was born March 10, 1929 in Lancaster, N.H. married to Kenneth Little on June 29, 1947. She lived in Middlebury for 43 years. In that time she made a lot of friends, was active in Home Den, and ran a day care in her home and touched a lot of lives. She moved to Merrimack, N.H. after retiring to live with her daughter Beverly. During that time she did volunteer work for St. Joseph Community Services but also enjoyed traveling between Florida, Oregon, Colorado, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland. She then moved to Portland, OR in 2006 with her daughter where she lived until she pasted away. She is predeceased by her husband Kenneth and two sons Jeffery and Robert and a brother Richard Hillier. She is survived by a daughter Beverly Little, son Conrad Little and son Richard Gage-Little and his wife Marcia, granddaughter Guava and two great grandchildren Ashaan and Corrina. She is also survived by three sisters Barbara Ledger, Carol Watkins and Norma Pinckney. Marjorie was cremated in Portland and her ashes will be brought back to Vermont for burial. There will be a memorial at Sanderson Funeral Home at 117 S Main Street, Middlebury, on Friday the 27th of June between 5:30 PM and 8:30 PM ET. Burial Service will be on Saturday the 28th of June at 11:30 AM ET, at the grave site at St. Peters' Cemetery in Vergennes, VT. There will be a celebration of Marjorie Little's life after the burial, at the Addison County Eagles Club, 67 New Haven Road, Vergennes, VT between 12 PM and 4PM ET. The family requests that instead of flowers, donations go to the Helen Porter Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Middlebury, VT.
