Marian K. Cano 91, formerly of Montpelier and Arizona died Saturday afternoon June 4, 2011 at the Lodge at Otter Creek. She was born November 24, 1919 in Canton, MO one of eight children to the late Herbert & OraLee (Henton) Kreitz. Marian had been a previous resident of Montpelier for thirty years before moving to Arizona and returning to Vermont residing at the Lodge at Otter Creek. Marian graduated from the Sherman School and Loretta Academy. She belonged to the Montpelier Garden Club and worked with various charities. Her interests included tennis, bridge, gardening and gourmet cooking. She was a member of the D. A. R. Marian is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Myers & her husband Fred, of North Ferrisburg and Christine Cano & her husband Bruce Hill, of East Montpelier, by her four grandchildren and her one great grandchild, by her daughter-in-law, Michelle Cano, of Phoenix, AZ and numerous nieces, nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Dr. Marco Cano, who died August 23, 1973, her son, Marc Cano, and by her siblings, Walter, Raymond, John, Dorothy, Jane, Estelle and Leora, A Celebration of Marians Life will be held at a later date to be announced.
