SHOREHAM - Malcolm L. Bronson, 86, passed away on June 11, 2010, with family by his side at Helen Porter Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Middlebury following a period of failing health.
He was born in Bridport, VT, on July 6, 1923, the son of the late Horace and Alice (Myrick) Bronson. He was a retired dairy farmer.
He was a veteran of World War II, U.S. Army, and a member of the American Legion, VFW and DAV. He was a member of the Masons, he was an early member of the Bridport Fire Department. He loved the outdoors, working in the yard and garden, and woodworking. He loved to joke and laugh, loved his family and friends and will be greatly missed by them.
He is survived by: his loving wife of 62 years Isabelle (Jackson); Sons - David, Kim, Timothy and wife Donna, Jack and wife Bonnie; Daughters - Rebecca and husband John, Susan; Grandchildren - Jason and wife Sarah, Melissa and husband Daniel, Seth, Heather, Keith, Jenna, Eric; Great Granddaughter - Antonia; Brothers - Horace, Jr. and wife Joyce, Thad and wife Ginny; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by: Brothers - Wymond, Lloyd, Bernard; and Sister - Thelma.
Calling hours are on Monday, June 14, 2010, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Sanderson-Ducharme Funeral Home, 117 South Main Street, Middlebury.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at 11 a.m. at the Bridport Central Cemetery in Bridport. The Rev. Tim Franklin will officiate. Followed by food and visiting at the Bridport Community Hall.
