M. Diane Forgues passed quietly at her Middlebury home on September 28, 2016 surrounded by family and friends. She fought a courageous battle with Cancer.
Diane was born February 26, 1950 on the family farm in Bridport, Vermont, the daughter of Leo and Marjorie (Parrott) Forgues.
She attended Bridport Elementary School and graduated from Middlebury Union High School in 1968. Diane was employed by Paul, Frank and Collins in Burlington.
Over the years Diane was involved in the Sodbusters Club (horseshoes), 251 Club, Covered Bridge Club and Dragon Boat Races. She served on the Middlebury Volunteer Ambulance Association and was a member of the Weybridge Fire Dept Auxiliary. Diane enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her son Joshua Deppman of Addison, her long time friend and supporter Tom Deppman of Ripton and her dear friend Dolores Walton of Middlebury. She is survived by her mother Marjorie Forgues of Shoreham, and sisters Kay Norris (Gary) of Shoreham, Edie Knudsen of Glasgow, KY and Sally Laframboise (Ernest) of Middlebury and brother Lee Forgues (Stephanie) of Castleton, uncle and aunt Richard and Virginia Parrott of Fort Ann, NY as well as many nieces, nephews and close friends.
She was predeceased by her father Leo Forgues.
At this time, the family would like to thank Christina Brace and Rick Loyer, AJ and Glenna Piper, Linda King, Kathy Brown, members of the Middlebury Regional EMS and Vergennes Area Rescue and Addison County Home Health & Hospice for the love and support they have given Diane and the family. We send a special thank you to Dr. Sprague and his staff as well as to the Hope Lodge for their support of Diane and her family.
Visiting hours will be held Friday, October 7, 2016 from 5- 7PM at Sanderson-Ducharme Funeral Home, 117 South Main St, Middlebury. Funeral services will be held on Saturday October 8, 2016 at 11AM at the Grace Baptist Church on Merchants Row in Middlebury with Rev. Bob Henley officiating. A reception will follow at the Middlebury Regional EMS building on South Street in Middlebury.
Contributions in Dianes memory may be made to Middlebury Regional EMS/Training Fund or Waylands Wish in care of Addison County Home Health & Hospice.
