Obituary

St. Albans Lynn "Jennifer" Alcorn Lynn "Jennifer" Genevieve Alcorn 75, died unexpectedly at her residence in St. Albans. She was born January 15, 1948 in Modesto, CA the daughter of Lawrence and Margery (Houston) Alcorn. Lynn chose to go by Jennifer in her later years. Jennifer was a graduate of Lincoln High School, Lincoln, CA. And furthered her education graduating from Heald Institute of California. She married Marleen Kimball September 30, 1989 in Burlington, VT; anyone that met Jennifer would remember her jovial expressive laugh. Jennifer was a water color artist and was an avid reader, loved music, traveling, gardening and cooking. She was the mom to 3 greyhound rescues, Gracie, Chelsea and Becca. She was a Technical Engineer Instructor having to travel all over the country which she looked forward to. She was adopted as a baby but found through Ancestry.com in 2018 that she had step siblings in California and reunited with them. Jennifer was very intelligent and her passion was teaching. She taught students how to use micro scan machines that were cutting edge technology turning wafers into computer chips. She worked for ASML Lithography assigned to the I.B.M. plant in Essex, VT where she worked for twenty eight years until she retired in 2008. Her job gave her the opportunity to travel to many places around the world. Survivors are her wife of 34 years Marleen Kimball, her half brother Ron Addington, her half sisters, Paige Addington and Claire Bunch all of California and her Vermont family, Darleen and Jeff Griffin, of Forest Dale, VT, Charleen Kimball, of East Middlebury, Joleen Sunderland, of Middlebury and several nieces and one nephew. She was predeceased by her parents. Graveside services will be held on Monday August 7, 2023 at 11 A.M. in Prospect Cemetery, East Middlebury. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105, or to Vermont Make A Wish at Make-A-Wish(r) Vermont, 6655 Shelburne Road Suite 300, Shelburne, VT 05482 or to the Franklin County Animal Rescue at 30 Sunset Meadows, St Albans City, VT 05478. Arrangements are under the direction of the Sanderson-Ducharme Funeral Home.
