Middlebury/ Daytona Beach, FL Lyman R. Clark Mr. Lyman R. Clark, 68, died Thursday September 20, 2007 at his residence in Florida. He was born October 17,1938 in Bridport, the son of the late Sydney & Leona (Reynolds) Clark. He was a graduate of Vergennes Union High School and attended Castleton State College. Lyman worked for Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in Hartford, CT and later moved back to Middlebury. He worked for the United States Postal Service as a mail carrier for 26 years retiring in 1999. Lyman and his wife Barbara have been snowbirds in Florida for the last 5 years. Lyman was a member of the American Legion Post # 27 of Middlebury, the V.F.W., post #7823, of Middlebury and the Eagles Club in Vergennes. He is survived by his wife Barbara Berthiaume, of Middlebury, his four step daughters; Joan Vaccarelli & her husband Barry, of Bristol, Ann D'Avignon, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Debra Mitchell & her husband Bob, of Hubbardton, VT, and Kelly Berthiaume, of Brandon, VT, six grandchildren; Noah Ketchledge, Andrew D'Avignon, Theresa Vaccarelli, and Maverick, Gaige and Maegan Mitchell, two sisters; Shiela Foote & her husband Arlyn, of Cornwall, VT and Linda Mitchell, of Middlebury, Vt, three nieces; Judy Bushey, Barb Foote and Carol Willey, and four nephews; Issy, Dean, Bill and Robert Mitchell. Visiting hours will be held on Friday September 28, 2007 from 10 AM till 11 AM at Sanderson Funeral Service in Middlebury. Graveside services will follow in Prospect Cemetery, in Vergennes. The Rev. Lyle Willey will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association at 434 Hurricane Lane, Wiliston, VT 05495.
