Shelburne, VT Lucy N. VanDyk Mrs. Lucy N. VanDyk, 78, died Thursday August 3, 2006 at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington. She was born March 12, 1928 in Detroit Michigan the daughter of the late Ralph & Erika (Rock) Norton. Lucy was a member of the D.A.R. She is survived by her son, James VanDyk Jr. & his wife Wendy, San Diego, Ca, her daughters, Martha & her husband Bob Alverez, of Metuchen, Nj, Susan & her husband Jim Robichau, of Braintree, Ma, and Lucy Ann & her husband Rob Gomez, of Ferrisburg, her 12 grandchildren, and her 6 great-grandchildren, her brothers, Ralph G Norton Jr. & his wife Lorrie, of Winchester, Ma, Robert Norton, of Middlebury, and also by numerous nieces & nephews. Lucy is also survive by her two loving cats Stanley and Cinderella She was predeceased by her husband James VanDyk Sr. who died September 23, 1995 Graveside service will be held on Monday August 7, 2006 at 10 AM in Prospect Cemetery in Vergennes. The Rev. Peter Maclean Will Officiate. The family requests that flowers be omitted and Memorial Contributions in memory of Lucy be made to the Palliative care unit at Fletcher Allen Health Care, in care of the Development office at 111 Colchester Ave. Burlington VT 05401.
