NEW HAVEN- Lucille A. LaFave, 92, a longtime resident of New Haven, died Wednesday, December 24, 2008 at Helen Porter Healthcare and Rehabilitation, Middlebury, following a brief illness. Born June 5, 1916 in Orwell, she was the daughter of the late Barney and Lillian (LaFountain) Stark. Lucille enjoyed quilting and cooking and was an avid bird watcher. She also enjoyed spending time with her family. Family members include three sons, Ronald LaFave and his wife Viviane of New Haven, Richard LaFave and his wife, Barbara of Salisbury, Mark LaFave and his wife Lynn of Barnard; one daughter, Laurie Breen of North Ferrisburgh; a daughter-in-law, Eleanor LaFave of Vergennes; seven grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren. Mrs. LaFave was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence LaFave who died August 9, 1975, by a son, Larry LaFave and a daughter, Arlene LaFave, a grandson, Bret LaFave and a brother, Harry Stark. Friends may call Saturday December 27, 2008 from 11 AM to 1 PM at Sanderson-Ducharme Funeral Home, 117 South Main St., Middlebury where funeral services will be conducted at 1 PM. with Rev. Robert Whalen, officiating. Spring burial will be in Weybridge Cemetery.
