Salisbury - Lorenzo Joseph Quesnel passed away in the evening of June 19th, 2007 in his lake home on Lake Dunmore in Salisbury, VT in the presence of his family. He was born in the farm house in Salisbury on May 26th, 1929 to Elzear Quesnel and Florestine (Marleau).
He grew up on the family farm. He avidly worked hard around the farm trying to earn extra money like the young boys did shoveling coal and collecting walnuts. He married his wife on June 22, 1952. In 1956 Lorenzo and Anna bought the family farm from his dad Elzear. Together they worked hard side by side raising 5 children on this family farm. Lorenzo was a true believer in the family who worked together got to play together. Their hard work paid off by making Anna's many dreams come true. In 1969 they purchased a camp on Lake Dunmore and n 1991 Lorenzo and Anna bought a home in Florida where they spent their winter months and enjoyed their summer months on Lake Dunmore. He also belonged to many clubs such as the Eagles, Moose and Elks Clubs of Rutland, Rotary, Knights of Columbus of Middlebury and was a big member of the MUHS Football Boosters club.
He is survived by his children and their spouses, Lorenzo & Amy Quesnel, Randy & Jean Quesnel, Terry & Susan Quesnel, Dolly Dame, Tawnya and Jenny Quesnel. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He is also survived by 3 sisters & brotherinlaws, Fleurange & Marcel Page, Whiting, Mary Jane & Leonard Deline, Clairemont, NH and Claire & Maurice Desautels of Middlebury, VT. A special sister in law Evelyn & Bernard Gregory of NY . Lorenzo was predeceased by his loving wife, Anna C. Quesnel of 51 years marriage. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, June 24th from 4-6 PM at Sandersons Funeral Home in Middlebury, VT..
A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday June 25th at 10.00 AM at St. Marys Church with the Rev. Justin Baker officiating.
