Kevin M. DAvignon, loving father and son, died on November 30, 2020 after a life-long battle with addiction that he was sadly unable to overcome.
Born in Middlebury on April 27, 1961, he was the son of the late Clement M. DAvignon and Margaret J. (Malloy) DAvignon.
He was a long-time resident of Addison County, attended local schools, and honorably served for many years as a Police Officer for the Miami Beach Police Department and Deputy for the Addison County Sheriffs Department.
Kevin loved his children more than life. He enjoyed spending time outdoors camping, hiking, golfing, and taking photos. He loved a good cup of coffee and watching old re-runs of M*A*S*H. He enjoyed making homemade sushi and cooking duck for his kids on Thanksgiving. He spent much of the holiday season watching Hallmark Christmas movies because of the "innocent happiness" they exuded.
He is survived by his two children, Douglas M. DAvignon and Marissa J. DAvignon; three step-children, Rachael J. Dayton, Cale J. Dayton, and Desiree J. Sandidge; three siblings, Ricky A. J. DAvignon, Allen J. DAvignon, and Carol D. Raymond; and his extended family throughout Vermont.
He was predeceased by his parents, several aunts and uncles, and his niece Ashlee M. DAvignon.
A memorial celebration and burial service will be held at a later date in Spring 2021.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Grace House 35 Washington Street Rutland, VT 05701 to provide support and services to those seeking addiction recovery.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Sanderson-Ducharme Funeral Home. Online condolences at www.sandersonfuneralservice.com.
