MIDDLEBURY-June Frances Brown, 82, died at home with her loving family with her, Monday, June 14, 2010 after a brief illness.
Born in Leominster, MA August 14, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Harold M. and Bernadette F. (Cahill) Regan.
June was a homemaker and had moved to Middlebury in 1999 from Bristol where she had lived for 11 years. She previously resided in CT. She had previously been employed as a telephone operator and a guide at the Shelburne Museum.
She was a member of the Addison County Transportation Committee which was instrumental in the starting of ACTR. When she lived in Bristol, she was also a member of Addison County Homemakers.
A devout Catholic, June s faith was central to her life, and her family was her greatest joy.
She was also a great fan of the Boston Red Sox.
June was a member of St. Marys Church of the Assumption of Middlebury.
Surviving family members include two sons, Kevin S. Brown and his wife Sandra of Old Saybrook, CT and Steven R. Brown and his wife Linda of Bristol; one brother, Michael of Fitchburg, MA, two sisters, Mary Marrama and her husband, Joseph Lefty of Leominster, MA and Sheila Aldrich of Washington Sate; four grandchildren, Malaky E. Cecil of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, Min Brown of Bristol, Rebecca Brown of Branford, CT and Jacob Brown of Brooklyn, NY; two great grandchildren, Eloise and Wyatt Cecil.
The family will receive friends from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM Thursday at Sanderson-Ducharme Funeral Home, 117 S. Main St, Middlebury. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1 PM Thursday at St. Marys Church with the Rev. William R. Beaudin, pastor as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery.
