Juan Carlos Blanco Rascón of Salisbury, Vermont, passed away peacefully at home on April 20th at the age of 65. He was born on February 27th of 1961, to Guillermo Blanco Valenzuela and Leila Rascon Enriquez in Chihuahua, Mexico. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Alicia Rodriguez, and his four children: Karina Blanco Mapula, Juan Carlos Blanco Terrazas, Carlos Francisco Blanco Terrazas, and Camila Blanco. As well as his grandchildren: Santiago, Diego, Sebastian, and Mateo Beltran Blanco. He is survived by 4 siblings: Rosa Maria, Luis Alonso, Claudia Isela, and Jorge Alberto. Carlos grew up in Mexico, where he later built a career in livestock management, animal science, and genetics. Carlos’s love for animals was clear throughout his life, particularly in his affection for roosters and horses.
Later in life, he and his wife, Alicia, moved to Salisbury, Vermont, where they raised their daughter Camila. Carlos worked for 23 years at Nop Brother and Sons’ farm, becoming known for having one of the highest success rates in cattle breeding.
The family thanks the UVM Cancer Treatment Center for fighting along with Carlos in his battle with cancer, especially Dr. Maura Barry and her incredible team. A funeral service will be held Thursday, April 23rd at 11:00am at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Vergennes.
Carlos will be deeply missed by many. Especially those who were very fortunate to call him a husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend. Hasta pronto a nuestro héroe, mejor amigo y maestro. Nos volveremos a encontrar.
