John R. Stagg 49, died Wednesday, December 18, 2013, as the result of injuries sustained while working in Hartford, CT. He was born June 10, 1964 in Middlebury the son of Rodney and Jean (Frasier) Stagg. He was a graduate of Middlebury High School class of 1982. John worked as an Iron and construction worker and although he didnt like to be away from his home and Zachary he loved his work and the people he worked with. He worked for Ferguson Corp. and had also worked for Russells and S.W.B. construction. He enjoyed bon fires with family and friends, hunting, fishing with his son Zachary, Cooking and was an avid car enthusiast. One of Johns greatest moments was when he became a father and Zacharys well being was Johns top priority. He is survived by his companion Tia Russell, of Shoreham, his parents Rodney and Jean Stagg of Shoreham, his son Zachary Stagg of Shoreham, his sister Patty Stockwell and husband Randy of Shoreham, and by aunts, uncles and a special cousin Bruce Briere. A memorial service will be held on Friday December 27, 2013 at 2 P.M. at the Shoreham Congregational Church. The Rev. Gary OGorman will officiate.
