Joan Holland Collier, 76, of Brookside Drive, died Sunday, April 1, 2007.
Born in New York, NY August 19, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Edward Willard and Marilla(Wood)Holland.
She was a graduate of Summit High School, Summit, NJ and Cornell University where she earned her degree in nursing.
A long time resident of Cornwall, Joan was a homemaker and a registered nurse.
Mrs. Collier was a member of the Cornwall Congregational Church, UCC. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Middlebury Woman's Club and various groups at the Cornwall Congregational Church including the church choir.
She was a very active member of Round Robin, the Porter Hospital Auxiliary.
Family members include two daughters, Nancy C. Rizner of North Clarendon, VT and Elizabeth C. Jekanowski of Jenson Beach, FL; a son-in-law, Robert Boucher of Middlebury; a twin sister, Judi Trowbridge of Fort Walton Beach, FL and Marilla Wood Savage of Philadelphia, PA; nine grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Collier was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Theodore A. Collier who died September 8, 1998; by two daughters, Ann W. Collier and Jane W. Boucher and a son Thomas Collier.
There wil be no calling hours.
Friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 1 PM Thursday, April 5, 2007 at Cornwall Congregational UCC Church with the Rev. Joan McGorman, pastor officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Cornwall Central Cemetery.
The family suggests that memorial donations be made to Round Robin, Maple St., Middlebury, VT 05753.
