MIDDLEBURY Jeannette E. Lalonde, 77, a resident of Middlebury for 51 years, went to be with her Lord Jesus on Tuesday, September 13, 2011, surrounded by her family. Jeannette was born in Shoreham, Vermont on October 5, 1933, the daughter of Amedee and Cordelia (Dutil )Audet. She graduated from Middlebury High School in 1951. She was married to Theodore Lalonde on May 17, 1958 and who predeceased her in 1967. Jeannette worked 38 years for Grand Union/Shaws Supermarket and retired in 2006. She loved plants and gardening, watching her grandchildren play their sporting events, enjoyed her weekly visits to Goodies for her favorite black raspberry cremee, and visiting with her family on Sunday mornings after church. She was a devout Catholic and member of St. Marys Church. She prayed daily for others, gave great advice and never passed judgment on anyone and was an awesome listener and wonderful sister, mother, grandmother and friend. She is survived by her two children and their spouses; Marie Lalonde Miller and her partner, Robert Atherton of Bristol, Pierre and Missy Lalonde of East Middlebury, her grandchildren Justin Miller of Bristol, PJ, Lindsay and Nathan Lalonde of East Middlebury. She is also survived by her siblings: Marcel and Yvonne Audet , Madeleine Dubois, Robert and Claire Audet all of Shoreham and Carmen Desforges of Middlebury. She was predeceased by her husband, brother Henry, sister Rollande and her husband Ernest Cloutier, brother in laws George Dubois and John Desforges. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:30 AM Thursday, September 15, 20011 at St. Marys Church with the Rev. William R. Beaudin, pastor, as celebrant. Burial will follow in ST. Marys Cemetery, Middlebury. There will family calling hours only.
