Jean Eisler Keck Miller (92), died Friday, August 3, 2018.
Jean was born in Butler, PA to Margie Eisler Keck and Albert Frederick Keck on July 20, 1926. A graduate of Butler High School and Allegheny College, she was a member of the Allegheny Singers and Kappa Alpha Theta fraternity. While her husband was in graduate school, she was a secretary at the University of Pennsylvania School of Fine Arts.
For twenty-eight years, Jean resided in Wallingford, PA. She belonged to the Wallingford Presbyterian Church and for many years sang in the church choir. From 1972 to 1992, she assisted her husband as secretary of the American Society of Church History.
In 1989, she retired to Indialantic, FL where she was a member of the Eastminster Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her husband of 70 years, William, a son William Bayard Miller, Jr. and his wife Gail of Middlebury, VT; a daughter Marjorie Miller Granat and her husband Ken of Tucson, AZ; granddaughters Erin Miller Heins (Jaime), Kirstin Miller Mazzeo (Tony), and Kelsey Jean Vaughan; grandsons Timothy (Ritsa), Jake (Abby) and Ben Miller and Matthew Vaughan; great-grandchildren, Nick and Alex Mazzeo, Brady and Samantha Heins, and Max and Charles Miller; and sister Polly Keck Knight.
Her main joy in life was her family, her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Memorial service will be held at the Congregational Church in Middlebury at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 10, 2018, with a burial at the Prospect Cemetery in East Middlebury.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Middlebury Community Care Coalition, 27 N. Pleasant St., Middlebury, VT 05753.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Sanderson-Ducharme Funeral Home.
