Janice Lorraine Rich of Weybridge, Vermont, passed away on September 18, 2020 following a long illness at Porter Nursing Home. Born Janice Lorraine Lilly on November 2, 1936 to Victor and Helen (Daniels) Lilly, Janice grew up in Orwell, Vermont. Janice was predeceased by her beloved husband Leslie Howard Rich, Sr. on December 18, 2004. They were married in Orwell, Vermont on April 11, 1953, where they lived and raised their two sons before moving to Weybridge, Vermont in 1974. An avid gardener, bird watcher, and masterful seamstress, Jan could name every weed, flower, tree and native bird as well as turn a piece of fabric into anything from the tiniest doll clothes (complete with zippers and pearl buttons) to a custom-made wedding gown for her niece. Her creativity and talent knew no bounds as "creativity is intelligence having fun." --Albert Einstein Janice leaves behind her sons, Leslie Rich, Jr. and wife Sylvia of Salisbury, Tim and wife Paula of Weybridge, granddaughter Rebecca Ferra of New Hampshire, brothers James Lilly of Weybridge, and Lee Lilly of Montpelier, nieces, nephews, and many friends. The family wishes to thank the dedicated staff at Shard Villa and Porter Nursing and Rehabilitative Center for their loving and compassionate care. In lieu of flowers and in honor of Jans devotion to dogs throughout her entire life (Sheba, Puddles, Pierre, Mitzie, and Santee), friends and family are asked to consider a donation to the Addison County Humane Society in Janices name. At Jans request there will be no calling hours, and a private graveside ceremony will be held in Orwell, Vermont. Godspeed, A.J.
