Janice M. Forbes 65, of East Middlebury died Saturday afternoon August 25, 2012 at Helen Porter Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center after fighting a long courageous battle with cancer. She was born May 9, 1947 in Middlebury the daughter of the late Charles and Ruth (Varno) Brown. She was a resident of Middlebury all her life. She was a previous employee of Middlebury College, The Swift House Inn and many other local businesses. Janice was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church and the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed shopping, playing bingo, and spending time with her children and grandchildren, she also adored her shared dog Molly. She is survived by her children, Eugene Forbes, of East Middlebury, Sherry Bristol and her husband Kevin, of East Middlebury and Lori Bergeron, of Middlebury, by her brother, James Brown, Of Salinas, CA, her sisters, Rita Brown, of Middlebury and Joan Forbes, of Middlebury, by her eight grandchildren and her two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband Kenneth Forbes.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday August 29, 2012 at 11 A.M. at St. Marys Catholic Church, will the Rev. William Beaudin as the celebrant.
Burial will follow in Case Street Cemetery .
