Janet Elva Landon Duffany, 77, formerly of Bridport, died Monday morning March 5, 2012 at the Pines at Rutland.
She was born April 6, 1934 in Florence, VT the daughter of the late Fred and Helen (Martin) Landon Sr. Janet attended schools in Florence and Orwell.
Janet retired from Simmons Precision-Hercules, B.F. Goodrich Corp, and had previously been employed by Shorham Coop.
She married E. Arthur Duffany in Bridport on February 12, 1955.
Janet was a member of the Brandon American Legion Auxiliary, the Rutland Family Campers, Good Sam Club and the Bridport Snow Birds.
She is survived by her brother, Chester Landon and his wife Mary of Rutland, one sister, Mary Ann Turpin and her husband Ernest of Shorham, a brother-in-law, Roger McCray of Middlebury, by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Janet was predeceased by her husband E. Arthur Duffany, by her sisters, Betty McCray and Florence Landon, and two brothers, Fred Landon Jr. and Arthur Bunny Landon.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 PM Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at St. Genevieves Cemetery in Shoreham with the Rev. William Beaudin, pastor of St. Genevieves Church officiating.
