Ilene S. Little was born in Bristol on December 6, 1914. She went to meet our Lord on November 23, 2011 at Porter Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, where she left behind numerous friends. She was a Christian woman who was a member of Valley Baptist Bible Church in East Middlebury. Ilene was predeceased by her husband Donald Little Sr. and a son Gilbert (Sonny) Little. They were waiting at the gates with open arms to welcome her home. Ilene leaves one son, Donald Little Jr. who lives in South Burlington and two daughters, Winona (Nonie) Morin who lives in Vergennes and Robin Little-Lebeau who lives in Addison. Also, three foster daughters, Cindy Burnett of Vergennes, Beth Elzinga of Salmon, Idaho and Nancy Warner who lives in Port Henry, NY, along with all their spouses. Ilene also leaves behind 15 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Ilene loved to sing and did so in a church choir many years ago with her daughter Robin. Ilene was always looking out for her friends and roommate Doris. She was a fabulous cook and won awards for her baked and canned goods which she did to order. Ilene took care of many, many children over the years while their parents worked during the day. Ilene was a member of the Rebeccas and had great friendships with many of the members. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Nov. 26th at 2:00 P.M. at Valley Bible Church in East Middlebury. Rev. Ed Wheeler and Rev. Dave Tosi will officiate. A reception will follow in the church Fellowship Hall.
