Howard F. Gordon Jr, 67, passed away peacefully at home Thursday, May 21,2014 in Bridport, VT. Born in Middlebury, April 25, 1947 he was the son of the late Howard F. Sr. and Lucille (Dorey) Gordon. He was a United States Navy Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. Howard worked as a Landscaper for employer and long-time friend Kirk Fiske. He is survived by his two sons Todd E. Gordon and Chris Gordon and his wife Tricia; by a brother Dorey Gordon and his wife Marie, a half-sister Barbara Berthiaume, several grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews;as well as his former wife Nancy M. Beebe-Gordon.Besides his parents Howard is predeceased by his long-time partner Becky Laframboise, and two half-sisters Jean LaDeau and Francis Leberge. Howard was a life member of the V.F.W where he served as Vice Commander, a member of the Middlebury American Legion, and a former member of the Middlebury Vol. Fire Dept. where he served for 20 plus years. Howard enjoyed plowing snow, fishing, playing cards, and the company of his family and friends. He spent all of his free time helping others. A grave side service will take place at the Farmingdale Veterans Cemetery on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 10:00 AM with the Rev. Gary Lewis Officiating.
