HERBERT L. USILTON, SR.
SALISBURY, VT- Herbert L. Usilton, Sr., 76, most recently of Shard Villa and formerly a resident of Cornwall, Killington and Chestertown, MD, died Tuesday, August 7, 2007 following a period of failing health.
Born August 10, 1930 in Doylestown, PA, he was the son of John Gale and Vera
(Layton) Usilton.
He was retired from Bucks Farm Equipment in Furlong, PA, a business he owned and operated from 1956 until 1974. In 1976 he moved to Killington where he lived until 1987. In 1987 he returned to Chestertown, MD where he lived until last year.
He was a communicant of St. John Roman Catholic Church in Rock Hall, MD.
A born salesman, he enjoyed skiing, golf and the outdoors.
He was married to Nancy (Kresge) Usilton, who died in January, 2001.
Family members include two sons; Herbert L. Usilton, Jr. and his wife Lisa W. Usilton of Pomfret, VT and Grover K. Usilton and his wife Ellen K. Usilton of Cornwall; three grandchildren, Haley L. Usilton of Pomfret, VT Sam G. and Grace K. Usilton both of Cornwall.
Mr. Usilton was predeceased by his brother, John Usilton and two sisters, Patricia Bundy and Elaine Fabian.
There will be no calling hours.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 AM at St. Mary Church, Middlebury with the Rev. Justin Baker, and pastor as celebrant. Burial will be at a later date in St. John Cemetery, Newtown, PA.
