Herbert C. Blaise 68, died Saturday afternoon July 3, 2010 at the Vermont Respite House in Williston, with his family by his side after a long illness. He was born in Springfield, VT August 9, 1941 the son of Hubert and Nora (Austin) Blaise. Herbert was a United States Army veteran, and was of the Catholic faith. Herbert was a self employed truck driver. He enjoyed hunting, taking care of his home and animals, and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Nancy (Babcock ) Blaise, of Alburgh, his daughter, Lyn Biasin, his step daughter, Bonnie Jarvis, by his siblings, Evelyn Harlow and her husband Leigh of Windsor, VT, Laura Grey and her husband Dana of Danforth, ME, Larry Blaise and his wife Joyce, of New Bern, N.C., and Rodney Blaise and his wife Cathy, of Vergennes, by his six grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by daughter Lori Silipa and his parents Graveside services will be held on Saturday July 10, 2010 at 10:30 AM in Weybridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Herbert C. Blaise Memorial Fund in care of Rodney Blaise at P.O. Box 276, Vergennes, VT 05491.
